Sunset and evening star,

And one clear call for me!

And may there be no moaning of the bar,

When I put out to sea.

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,

Too full for sound and foam,

When that which drew from out the boundless deep

Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,

And after that the dark!

And may there be no sadness of farewell,

When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of time and place

The flood may bear me far,

I hope to see my Pilot face to face

When I have crossed the bar.

-Alfred Tennyson

Very sorry for your sad loss.

Sorry for your loss Sue.

As long as you remember him in your heart and pass his memory to your children, and they remeber him, he still lives.

God Bless you and your family.

Thank you all for your kind words, your prayers and your condolences.

Dad had a very aggressive form of cancer and I don't think that he ever knew it. The whole family spent time with him on Christmas Day, a few at a time, and he was aware of us all. He was thankfully not in pain and we think that he waited until he knew that we were all OK and together before he left us.

Mom is a tough lady and is holding together, although she says that it probably hasn't sunk in yet. I know the feeling and I think that both uf us are so emotionally drained over the events that it will hit both of us later. When it does, at least we live close by and can be at her house in a matter of a few minutes. Together we will get through.

Thanks again to all of you.
