Hello Bob,

I was wondering if you could give me some info. I have a 2005 150 hp xr6. Water pressure is fine, motor runs really good. I installed a temp qauge in addition to the pressure gauge. Anyway, I took it out today and the gauge was reading 160 at wot and would drop to about 150-155 or so when I slowed down. I believe it actually reads the temp of the head and not the water(is that correct). Is this in the correct range, just wondering. Motor runs great.

water pressure at wot is about 14 to 15 and serial number is 1B105641

Yes, it does read the temp of the head. Readings are accurate and to be used as your barometer. ;)
