Hello,

I have a question about the motor on my boat I just purchased. What is the difference between a Fast Strike and a regular motor? I am trying to find a service manual and not sure how I would know it covers the Fast Strike 150 HP.

The "Fast Strike" and "Intruder" variations were OMCs "Model" designation for an improved performance enhanced version of the 60 degree V6 blocks. They had a bit more low end torque than the standard 150/175 hp units. They were aimed at the bassboat market. The motors carry a very good "bullet proof" and "good performance" reputations against any of their contemporary engines... (Until the early FICHTs which I believe may have carried the same designations).
