just wanted to get someone else's experience possibly.i bought a 2012 z7 and fished the first tournament( 8 hours) with it and it took about 2hrs to charge the trolling batteries.the passed 3 or 4 times i have gone out (roughly 6 hrs ea) it takes around 4 hours to charge .is there anyreason for this?

In a correctly running system the use of your TM dictates the amount of recharge needed for your TM batteries. Windy days will cause more use/drain and require more charge. Unless there is an unknown discharge ocurring, this is pretty much all there is. Good luck!

thank you dan.i used to have a 12 volt system in my tracker,but obviously the z7 has a 24.what is an average amount of time on setting 2 i should get from the trolling motor?

depends on the charger,my 2011 z7 has a 6 amp charger,if yours is the same,after a hard days use,4hours to recharge is not unusual for my boat.
