So my boat came with a shoot trough the hull transducer from an older Lowrance graph. It was compatible with my HDS 5 so I swapped them out. THe curent setup will not hold depth reading on plane. My old boat had the HDS transducer mounted on the transom so I decided to do that and bypass the original equipment. The problem is my transom has an integrated setback which makes it difficult to secure the transducer cable from the transducer to the motor bracket. I didn't want to drill more holes upwards into the setback so I have tried an adhesive solution for now.
Does anyone know a trick for securing the cable to the transom overhang?
