My 2006 Nitro 911 w/200 Optimax has a center shifter and I have noticed the last couple of times I've taken it out the shifter is very hard to move at first. After a shift or two it works normally. Is there a way to lube this assm or something else I need to do to cure this problem ?

Thanks for any advice.

Not trying to hijack a post but I am wondering the same thing, or close to it. I have the regular quicksilver throttle lever on my 1996 Nitro and it seems really stiff.

First, disconnect the cables from the motor end and see if it "frees up". If it DOESN'T, chances are the cables themselves are getting "old". There is no sure-fire way to lube them. Make sure the routing is as straight as possible with no sharp bends.....;)
