I recently had this motor put on my Targa 18WT and after I got it out on the water, I noticed the water pressure gauge and trim gauge didn't work. The dealer said it requires a conversion kit for the trim to work with analogue gauges and a water pressure kit for $150. My question is, is the conversion kit for the trim gauge just plug inline with the sensor and easily installed and is the water pressure kit hard to install? At this time I don't even think I need the water pressure gauge to work but would be nice.

Yes {to the analog conversion} and {the WPSI} it's easy to install, you could do it yourself.......

and let me add that you do need a water pressure gauge. One of the most important dials on the dash!! Also learn to look at it on a regular basis, it can telegraph a problem in the making.
