We went and saw my son graduate from his Advanced Chemical training last Friday in Missouri....his orders changed 3 times in the 2 days we were there, and they sent him to the 101st Airborne Saturday morning. They processed him there early Monday, gave him his deployment orders Tuesday, and he just called me this morning and said he will receive his pin-point orders tomorrow and that he was being assigned to a forward infantry unit as a Chemical Warfare Specialist.

He is getting a 48 hour pass, we're flying him home Saturday and he will return Sunday....odds are he will deploy to Kuwait within 48 hours after his return to the 101st. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

I haven't been on here much lately due to the boat shows, and I'm leaving today for another 4 days of shows, so I'll catch up on my reading here when I get back on Monday.

God Bless America

and....

*&%& you, SADDAM!!!!!!!

Ken - May your son and all of our military move swiftly, safely and be victorious! Hopefuly the idoit in Iraq will gain a grain of intelligence and leave Iraq to exile!

God Bless America!

Our thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with all of our Military personnel - especially you, your wife and your son.

May God keep all of our servicemen and women, in the safe hollow of his hand.

We prayed for our military forces on Monday, but I will add a specific prayer for your son. Please tell him that one more American is profoundly grateful for the commitment he has made to preserve our freedoms and way of life. If I could go in his stead, I would, but Uncle Sam says I'm now too old.

I'm also going to pray for you and your family, Ken.

Soldiers aren't the only ones who make sacrifices in times of conflict. Please don't forget their parents, children and spouses as well.

(Just finished my prayer, Ken. I'll keep praying until this whole sorry mess is over.)

Ken,

Kinda know what your going through, my little brother has got his orders. He ain't quite the front line as your boy is but he is still going. He will definitely have my prayers. saddam is an SOB. KENNY

Big thoughts and prayers for your family Ken. This mess will be over soon and quick! We have the right man for the job.

Yeah, SAD-um (there's apparently an interesting change of meaning in Arabic if you pronounce it this way versus S'-DAAM, by the way), is a horrible human being. But I even prayed for that scumbag, that God would bring him to his senses and inspire him to go into exile. (Hey, it doesn't hurt to ask, does it? And I think its a bit better prayer than asking God to lead one of SAD-um's generals to cap him in the back of the head.)

Ken,

My prayers are with you and your son. You know my heart is with him and I can only continue to pray and think of you and him every day. I am one of thousands of Americans who are deeply grateful for your son's service. May God Bless them all...

Thanx everyone.....keep 'em coming and I will print this thread for him to take with him.

I'm off to the boat show 4 days now...talk to you all soon.

My best wishes for your son and family, Ken.

May we go there and kick butt!

Ken, As we pray for all our military personnel during these trying times, we will be sure to give a special mention for your boy! Hopefully it will be a short assignment and he will soon be homeand out fishing with dad!

Ken.

My prayers are with your son. I know first hand how it is away from home and not knowing what you are going to. I hope that he will trust in his training and the men he is with. Believe in yourself and believe what you are doing is right in the eyes of the many and in the eyes of G0D and you will come home safe.

Semper Fi. Go with GOD.

Ken we will keep your soldier in our prayers. One thing in your favor is his great outfit; the 101 airborne division trained at Fort Cambell KY. These 'Screaming Eagles" are well trained and have been decorated from previous campaigns. They are a well trained unit with the best of equipment. Your son will be in good hands with many men that know how to protect our country and their fellow soldiers. I feel confident that he will return after doing what must be done.

He'll be there with the finest standing army in the world, so he will always have someone to watch his back, as he watches their's. He'll come back in one piece...............sa

You KNOW he has my support! Go kick some ingrate tail jr! Show those punks what happens when you mess with uncle Sam. And stay safe! NO fear Ken, I'm sure he will be just fine. I know, easier said than done, but you have to rest assured that he has had the best military training in the world and will be surrounded by the best soldiers in the world. He will be just fine. Besides, I don't think this will last lone. I watched the CBS report the other night of the military's strategy for the initial attack and they intend to drop something like 5X more bombs in the first 2 weeks than were dropped in ALL for Desert Storm. If that doesn't rattle some cages, it's because their all dead. Once hell breaks loose, ole Saddam will get ousted for sure! His people have had enough.

Got this from a West Point cadet's mom (my aunt). Ken, please be sure to share this with your son.

Ken,

Peggy and I will be praying for your son, and for you and Rhonda. I encourage you to read Psalm 91, especially verses 9 thru 11. God bless all of you, and all our service men and women.

Gene

Mo,

Ken you know how I feel, I've been there before. I hope he keeps his head down and remembers the training he received. I still remember my first night in Saudi, we had a scud missle alert the first night. About half of us jumped up throw our gas masked on and headed for cover. The other half jumped up and went running outside to see if they could catch a climpse of the scud. Now you tell me who are the stupid ones. I hope and pray he takes it seriously and sticks to what he was trained to do. A parents worst night mare is not knowing what his son is doing on the battle field. The sons worst night mare is worring about whats happening back home while he's away. Do him a favor and write lots of letters and keep him informed. It helps to keep him focused on what he's doing there. God Bless

Ken,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You should be very proud of your son. Tell your son thank you and you and your family be strong.

God be with your son and you and your family. And also with all the others.

Ken,

As an active member of the military I know what he is filling and my family what you are feeling. There are not many things someone can say to comfort you in this time. Only that God will watch over him and his unit.

A lot of people ask me why I stay in with the current world situation. It

Last night I drove past these yahoos that are out there every Thursday and Friday night with signs for "peace not war" and "drop Bush not bombs". So help me, if they're there again tonight, I'm going to walk up to the biggest one and just nail him right in the big fat mouth. And when he wants to defend himself, tell him, "no no, peace not war...MORON!" Our president is doing a hell of a jog despite the spineless, wastes of walking human debris that used to call themselves our allies and the UN. How much longer are we supposed to wait and let Korea, Iraq, and the lot build their stockpile to strike us on our home soil again. All I can say is when our soldiers are done whiping their arses with those low life scums they WILL come home to rallying support like no military before. If I see one picketer that tries some Vietnam style protest crap, you will all have to take a collection for bail money to send to my wife! This frozen redneck Republican has had enough!

Ken,

Johnathan is great kid. He's worked hard, trained hard and is amoung the best our country has to offer. He is ready for this and I will pray for him.

I will however pray extra hard for you and Rhonda because there is no training or readiness program for sending your child to war. I know how she felt when he left for bootcamp and I can only imagine how she must feel right now. Give her a big hug and tell her the NTOWS crew said to stay strong. He'll come home shortly and when he does....he'll be a HERO.

Marke

Ken,

You know you can count on us just as we know we can count on him and his new brothers and sisters!!

May God bless and keep him, as he is in our thoughts and prayers.

The King Family

I guarantee that prayers are a soldier's best protection. I'll send him mine.
