Planning on picking up my HB958 DI today. The web site says that it is an external GPS. My last unit was an internal GPS unit. Just wondering where to mount the GPS puck? Close to the unit or somewhere else. This unit will be at the console. Thanks!

Year 2000. Tracker Targa 2000.

Mount the GPS antenna as close to the transducer as possible. I mounted mine on the right rear corner, close to thru-hull transducer and SI transducer on hole shot plate.
