I have a simple question

I read my handbook that came with my motor and it says gives the maximum RPM at WOT. However, there is a sticker on the motor says a different max RPM at WOT. Does the motor sticker take precedence over the book? Sort of like software changes after the instructions were printed.

Whaddaryagonnadu when ya got 100,000 manuals fresh back from the printer and yer engineers (gosh darn 'em) decides they gave ya the wrong specs?
