Champion demise rumors flying, again

Have read several uncomfirmed reports in a number of places that Champion Boats has now truly failed, unable to pay its employees and its vendors. I never wish something like this on anyone, hate to see people loose their livelihood.



Wondering if anyone else has verifying info?

I think we need to be careful about believing what we hear. I have not heard anything either way. I would hate to see demise fall on another marine business. I can honestly say that during my in depth search for a quality boat, Champion was the one boat I never got a bad review about. I hope they do well. In fairness competition keeps prices down, and prices on quality bass boats is leaning on the "higher" end. However, in light of recent economic trends, I think "luxury" items such as bassboats may experience some serious revenue challenges.
