Another trailer light question

I need to replace the taillight on one side of my trailer but am confused about

which side of the trailer is considered the left side and which is the right

side when buying the light or doesn't it matter.

Do yourself a favor and replace both, go with the LED's so much better.

One has the license plate light and one does not. Which ever one you need you can look at the see through packaging and get the appropriate one. On my trailer either would work.

I have a pair of brand new ones from my 2011 Z6 you can have for free, just pay the postage from Australia and the're all yours. Over here our indicators are yellow, not red.

I use port and starboard when refering to sides. Standing on the back of trailer lookin forewardport is left starboard right no matter what.
