Plugged in the battery charger last night and I heard a new noise coming from my cranking battery. It sounded like -- and understand that this is the best description I can think of -- a hornet or a p.o.'d bee trapped inside the battery. It was a higher pitched buzzing sound.
Then I noticed that there was water around one of the battery caps. I went over to the trolling motor battery and it wasn't making any noise.
#1 - Should I be concerned about either the noise or the water.
#2 - If I shouldn't be concerned, what causes the noise?
