Is the Master Power Switch on an 882 just for turning on the accessories and pumps or is it for the motor as well? My motor runs with the switch off and I am wondering if this is normal setup. Looking for a possible drain.

Master power is for accessories only, the setup is normal. It powers up the fuse block that is under the dash. Anything directly connected to the battery will still operate.
If you have an optimax it will always drain the battery a little when its sitting. A good three bank charger fixes that issue.
