I just went out this morning and found my starting battery deader than a mackerel. I put the 12 volt charger on and my X70 Lowrance came on. I pushed the off button and it came on again instantly. The depth finder seems to function ok just won't shut off so I pulled the plug. I noticed the wires in the plug have the insulation wore off and bare wiring showing. I was wondering if a bad plug could cause the unit to start by itself? Any ideas?
