Will a BPS XPS battery charger work for AGM or gel batterries.

I need to replace my batteries this year and was thinking about going with gel or AGM type batterries. I have used sealed wet cells in the past and they are OK.



Price is going to make a difference. I know the Optima batteries can run around $150. The last group 27 sealed batteries I bought were about $75.



I have a 3 bank 10/10/10 XPS (Pro-Mariner) charger. I haven't been able to find my paperwork for it. Can it charge these types of batteries and what's required? Flipping a switch or will is automatically sense what type of battery is connected.
