where to mount

I lose the signal on my humming bird at speed ( relativly slow 10 mph)

tournament v 17 aluminum

I know about mounting away from the rivit lines but how far away and the v17 has a set of revits running the width of the boat (at the transom)

any suggestions

I had the same problem with 2 birds. That's why I went to Eagle. Never did figure out how to fix it. Good luck

Scott - I had the same problem with mine (PC175 with the 200DX humminbird), all I had to do was loosen the mounting screws and move the transducer about 1/2 inch lower, worked like a charm for the last 2 years. It may just not be far enough down to stay in contact with the water when your running fast.
