My dad's boat trailer is always loosing his buddy bearings and I'm trying to talk him into the spindle-lube type of hubs like the ones on my Trailstar trailer. Does anyone know if you can retrofit using just the hubs or do you have to buy the whole axle? The spindle lube hubs sure beat the bearing buddy type. Thanks.

Hey Sam. No you can't just change the hubs. The hubs are actually the same as regular axle hubs.they just have a different dust cap. It is the spindle that is different. It has been drilled with passages for the grease. You would have to replace the whole axle.

PS. Or maybe the old axle could be drilled???? wonder what that would cost
