Rumor - Johnny Morris Buying BASS & Gander Mountain??

I saw this on another local board, and it was supposedly posted on the ABA tournament board. It is a RUMOR, wonder if anyone has heard this?



Now that Gander Mountain will be carrying some Tracker boats, it seems possible. Would be as HUGE extention of J. Morris's empire.



Anyone else here this??

Mike - In mid-January Tracker and Gander announced:



Gander Mountain to Offer Tracker Marine Group Boats

Product Will be Available Throughout GM Network of 105 Stores



Don't know what that means for Champs, but that part is done.

That's nothing but a rumor. The Gander's that carried boats weren't restricted to Champions. The biggest Gander in Wisconsin carried Stratos. The Tracker - Gander deal is just a smart business move for all parties concerned.

The rumor of Johnny buying BASS is that. I did hear Woo talking to Stacey King about it almost a year ago.



Gander had a deal with Genmar. Thats why some had Stratos, some had Champion and Cabela's had Ranger.



Tracker's deal ended Genmar and Gander's relationship (so I have been told).
