Per Jim B.'s great article, I have all of the stuff to winterize my Merc 90, fogging spray, lower unit oil, etc.. This is the first time that I have had to do this.

My question, in the spring, how do I get the fogging oil out of the thing? Or, does it just burn off?

Thanks, Steve

It just burns off. Top the tank off with some fresh gas in the spring then after a couple of tanks run some Quickleen thru it to remove any gum or varnish...good to go:)

Thanks TEE. Is "Quickleen" a Merc. product? I never found any Merc. fogging spray, I went with NAPA's product.

You can get it at BPS and it is made by Merc. I usually run a tank or two thru year depending on how much idle time on your motor...idle time is worse than WOT for gumming. I think you mix like 6 or 8 oz. to 10 gallons(?)
