Can anyone out there tell me how to properly tighten the prop nut on a 2006 , 200HP merc optimax?

With the advent of S/S props and the knife edge, skin peeling trailing edge, we use a simple block of wood between the cav plate and prop. I'll check the torque spec once I get to work. If memory serves me correctly it's about 100 ft/lbs......;)

Edit: 50 ft/ lbs.

I usually use my highly calibrated right arm and breaker bar and have at it.....;)

Isn't that 50 ft lbs if you aren't using the cone shaped insert, and 100 if you are ? I know the instructions with my hubs say 100 ft lbs if using the cone shaped insert in the hub.
