After a nice day at Salt Springs I put the trailer in the

garage and noticed a screw head sticking out of my

new tracker marine tire (2 weeks old). It was in the

meat part of the tread and when I pulled it, the tire

continued to hold air. The screw was 1/2" in length.

Anyone have any idea how thick these B78x13 6PR tires

are? I have a spare from my old boat its the same size

but doesn't seem as tall or wide.

If I need a new one, can you get exact replacements from the dealer?

Even though they may be nominally the same dimensions, a tire's actual size can vary greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer - and even from label to label within a manufacturer.

DON'T put a tube in the tire. You'll just be asking for trouble. We pay little enough attention to the air pressure in our trailer tires; if the pressure got low in that tire, excessive heat would build very rapidly and you'd find yourself sitting by the side of the road.

me!

If it ain't leaking dont worry about it. At the thickest part the tire is (guessing) 3/4 max
