I have heard reports of pelagics close to shore in South Alabama. The Navarre Pier is reporting dolphin (mahi), blackfin tuna, and amberjack.

The wife and I caught a handful of dolphin off my SeaPro 2100 Bay series a week ago.

When in SC we always carried light tackle for dolphin, it was not uncommon to run into a school on our way out for bill fish, (a yahoo always made a good keep for grilling).

In the warm months and fall they even get a sail or 2 off the Panhandle piers.
