Going to try and replace fuel line, bulb. Do I need to replace the fuel pick-up, or can it just be cleaned? If I can clean it, do I blow it out, or?? How do I access the fuel pick up? I have replaced the fuel pump, water seperator, and spark plugs on my 2000 150

Optimax, and still having difficulty getting it to start. Thanks in advance for any help. ChrisL.

The fuel pick-up is nothing more than a tube with a screen on the bottom. It can be removed and cleaned. I doubt this is your starting issue though. IF there was a restriction, it is easily identifiable because the primer bulb would , once squeezed, stay "deflated". If you are getting a fill-up after every squeeze of the bulb, chances are it's not clogged.

It's time for a cds scan, fuel / air rail pressure check and sensor test. ;)
