We have a 2019 z-17 with a built in ice chest, which doesnt keep ice very well. Thinking about sealing or lining the insides and lid with insulation to increase R- value of chest.
Any one else tried this?

Interesting idea. Let us know how that works out.
My Z18 performs pretty good. I have ice at the end-of-the-day most always.

It may help a lot to place a thin sheet of closed cell foam on the bottom and be sure the lid actually closes to make an air seal at least. When I fish alone I use a small back pack ice chest that will fit down inside the z-18 box easily since its so deep. Not sure that's a reasonable option on the 17?

Thanks! We have tried that & it is better. Still searching for great.
