lawrance mark 5 elite

Iinstalled a mark 5 elite on my boat,and bought the premium navionics micro chip for it,when i put the chip in the unit blinks off,then comes back on just like it was before i put the chip in,in other words the unit is the same with the chip in or out,is there something else im supposed to do,this chip should show contour lines and lake depths and so on,help.

You need to go into the menu and change the map from Lowrance to Navionics.
