Looking ahead to this summer I would like to spend a week at Lake Anna with the Mrs. and of coarse my boat. Having never been there before does anyone have any suggestions as to where to stay?

Only two hotels at the lake Highpoint Marina or Lake Anna lodge. Would check with our local rental facility Dockside Rentals (540-895-9400)and ask for Terri Moberly. You can probably get a rental cheaper than a hotel for the week. If you have questions give me a call at 540-894-5285

Good advice from Bill. Also check out websites like vrbo.com for Lake Anna rentals. Figure out which side you want (hot side/cold side - aka private side/public side). Pluses and minuses to both. Here is a good place to start.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for the help. We are now looking at going some time in September. Does that make a difference as to which side to stay on?

September is still pretty warm in Central VA. That said, the crowds tend to thin pretty significantly post Labor Day. You won't be fighting nearly as much day boat traffic and jet fleas. Probably have a lot more variety on the public side.
