I have 2001 Bass Tracker with factory Hummingbird Pro 128. The unit will power up but shows transducer not connected. Same issue last year, I had to take off the head and un-coil the wires and it worked. This makes me believe the wires are damaged and need to be replaced.
Can I remove the wires from the inside the head, cut off about 6 inches, and reconnect them? If so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
