Does anyone know much about these motors ? 2002 Evinrude 225 Ficht Ram motor. Have heard some bad things about them, does anyone have any info ? I know where there is a brand new one on the back of a Stratos for a pretty good price. Just wondered if it was worth looking at. Thanks, Gib...

They didn't have a very good track record. The ones that didn't blow up ran well. Just too many popped and they got a bad rap.
