dirty fuel tank

have plastic gas tank with "junk" clinging to inside ,from old gas I quess and it keeps washing loose and clogging up my fuel system,i haye been rinsing with alcohol and seems to be getting better. just wondered if this is ok or is anything better. I think it is from first owner using 100% gas as i'm burning 10% ethahol and is disovling as it goes through the system. thank's for any imput.

You're right. The "ethanol" or "ethyl alcohol", IS dissolving the crud. That's one one the advantages that causes PROBLEMS, since all that stuff works it's way through the fuel system, clogging filters, injectors, pumps, etc.

Keep at it until it's clean. Monitor filters after every outing, until you don't see anymore contaminants.
