I had my old 1992 Evinrude Intruder 150 engine checked and the compression was 90 on one and 85 on the rest. Is this bad, good or normal for a 20 year old motor? I fish 3 days a week and worry that it wont last.

I'm not sure about Evinrudes but my 89 Merc 175 carried 120 # compression all of its life and its still going strong. I think yours are alittle on the low side. I'd check a service manual.

No worries. Those motors are very low compression engines. Be sure to use a "de-carbonizer"...i.e....Sea-Foam or equivalent on a regular basis, to prevent ring sticking. EVEN compression {within reason} is more important than total numbers. Leakdown is the TRUE test.....;)
