Break away cable

Hey guys,

In the process of re-doing / testing the braking system on my trailstar trailer. (1993) I want to make sure the break away cable works and is not seized. How much force is needed to actuate it? The little ball on the cable is just inside of the end of the coupler. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot test it. If you deploy it you have to replace it.

So if the wheels are turning it hasn't been deployed yet I take it? (Given the rest of the system is fully functional.)

If they are free spinning...yes. Minus any brake drag.
