I'm changing out the impeller, 2000 150 XR6....everything came off easily, impeller and housing went on easily, and I didn't torque the bolts down too tight....I have 2 questions....first, should the drive shaft turn easily, or at all, before I put lower unit back on....second, I can't get it to line up when I tried to fit it back on, are there any tricks I should know of....thanks for the help.

Hey i dont know about the 150 but make sure everything lines up including the driveshaft. I spin my prop by hand when im pushing her in

If the drive shaft does not turn check to see if it is in forward or reverse. Also it can be half out when you install the lower unit. It can be difficult to put the lower unit back on. Make sure the water tube is fitting over the hole in thr pump housing and that the gear rod over the splin on the lower unit.
