Yamaha Motor ?

I know this is mainly a Merc site but I know you guys have lots of info on just about any and all subjects. My cousin is looking at buying a used boat with an 02 150 V-Max OX-66. And I am just wondering if you guys are aware of any issue that this motor might have...known problems or things he should be on the look out for.

The OX-66 is and EFI motor, and the little I have read on the motors it seems to be a pretty strong motor will few problems.

I've only heard good things. Your gonna' have some bad with any.

I had 2 yamaha's both carbed models, they were awesome, no problems at all.. one VMAX 150 and the other a C-70 .

I had my first one last year....it's now in Carlos's yard!



Loved it,...never had a single problem with it!! I have another one coming on my new boat this spring too...a 225HPDI...rock solid and very reliable!! GREAT motors!!
