Yes, I was on Folsom Lake (home Lake) Home of the ESPN Great Outdoors Fishoff in July) (which you right coast folks need to visit). I was out testing the boat and did a bit of fishing while testing the seastar and hotfoot.
I weather has been really weird, Late March early April I was getting fat 2 1/2 to 3 lb smalies and Spots just busting with eggs in 22 - 35 feet of water. Yes they spawn that deep out here in pure clear ponds. Well I was boatless for three weeks and did not know the bite.
Anyway I fished aprox. three hours and had 13 fish, three Largies, the rest spots. First fish on a Spitin Image the next two dart headed a pro gold Pro-worm. The rest were either on a zoom lizard watermelon Mojo with 1 foot leader or dartheaded Pro worm. SO YES I FISHED A BIT!!!
