Went to the doc today for the results of the culture report. I have a staff infection. Its wierd though, I dont have many symptoms of one. I will have surgery on Tuesday to remove the infection.

Yup, same thing I had. Doc told me that it lives on everybodys skin and sometimes for reasons unknown it causes a problem. It's not really surgery like when they go in and mess around with your insides. He'll just open it up, drain it, and clean it out. I didn't even have stiches when I had it done. He left it open and I had to keep clean bandages and a heating pad on it all weekend....plus some anti-biotics.



Don't worry, you'll be OK.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers... Once its all over, think about getting a referral to a specialist in Infectious Diseases... My youngest daughter had repeated bouts with these things and it took a Specialist to get rid of it totally (or at east for now)... Her's developed as a secondary infection from a spider bite. So a lesson to us all... watch what we let bite us and don't touch your own skin...ever!!!!... Good luck...
