Starter?

Tried starting my boat yesterday and it was turning over real slow and draining the battery. I kept at it and finally all it would do is tick when I turn the key. Is there anything I can try to get this thing started? I swapped batteries, cleaned connectors, but that's about it. Any help would be appreciated

I seem to remember that you need to lubricate the starter shaft with some light grease every once in a while. I peridically lift up my starter gear and lightly lube it and have not have any problems.



If it is something diffrent from what I have said, I am sure that others will hop in on this one.
