Tried to put in at Occoquan Park this morning, spring flooding and high tide had the water so high they would not let us use the ramp. The dock was under at least 2' of water, where it is usually at least 2' over the water. Had to go to Leesylvania to put in.
Caught one small one in Mattawoman, where Marsh island was almost covered. Went over to the Occoquan, but the water was moving so fast you couldn't fish it. LOTS of trash, logs, etc, even passed a mounted spare tire. Can't imagine what it's going to look like over the next week or so.
All in all, it beat sitting at the house!
