gregg i just picked up a new 998c and understand that they make a 8000watt transducer,I was wondering would it be worth getting,I have to say this thing is sweeeeet I am already impressed. Thanks for your reply

That 8,000 watt transducer is a 50/200kHz 2D only sonar transducer meant for extreme deep water (3,000 feet!). It does not have any of the elements inside of it for the Si sonar so you would only be able to use the 2D or conventional sonar with it. I don

Wow 8000 watt, run a fish too close to that and you got fresh cooked fish!!!
