I have a 1997 Nitro 700LX dual console with a Merc 75 HP on it? It has a Ballistic stainless prop &* the guy I bought the boat from said it was a 23 pitch. Is this the correct pitch for my boat? It seems a little slow out of the hole.

That's a stout prop for that motor!

What RPM @ wide open throttle? Most 75's and 90's are happy with a 21 or 22 pitch.

I could run a 22 or 23 but, I like a comprmise of preformance and moderate top speed vs. gaining maybe 1 or 2 MPH?

I'm running a 13X21 SS Quicksilver on a 90 and think it works great.

That is the correct prop for that application. Put on a 21" prop, I've found it to be better all around. The innards on your motor are identical to the 90's, which is 5500 rpm rated. It'll give you a better hole-shot. Hunt around for a 21" Trophy.......;)

Thanks for the info, Bob. I will start looking for a Trophy 21.
