need to know max rpms

HAVE A 2003 2STROKE 115HP.WITH A 12-3/4 X21 PROP.

BY THE RPM GAUGE IT WILL TURN UP TO 5850 RPM.

IS THIS TO HIGH RPMS FOR THIS ENGINE? ALSO HAVE A 26P

LASER 2 PROP I CAN PUT ON. 2002 NX750 NITRO :wub:

YES! Do NOT allow that motor to turn over 5250. Prop accordingly.

FWIW, Ive got a 96 Nitro 170 TF with a Merc 115 and I run a 26P Laser II...turn right at 5200 rpm WOT. GPS speeds range from 52 mph (normal) and have seen 57 mph early in the year when it is a little cooler.
