I might be heading to Lake of Egypt (Ssouthern Illinois)late next week if weather is halfway decent. I have been there a few times, but never later than late Sept. Anyone been there lately or this time of year to comment on whether it is worth the 5 hour drive? Is the lake up/down? and is the the power plant running? Thanks for the info.
