Jackplate Question

I'm looking for info before I purchase a jackplate. I'm running a 96 896 Nitro. Any body have any ideas on proper setback?

I ran a 10" jackplate on my 896......it was awesome,.....seriousley considering ordering a NEW 896 again this year!!

Back when I had my 896 I ran the 10" Jack and it was a very fast and stable boat, my National Team Partner, Mike Baldwin was running the same boat with the Paralift, there wasn't that much difference in top end speep between the two boats. I could hang with him in the run but he could run through the shallow waters with less fear.

Th Para-lift is a great unit but can't support the weight of the 200 OptiMax or above. Otherwise I would have one on my 901.

And I agree with Mac the 896 was one great running boat, I've been toying with the thought of getting one this year!
