I-40 Bridge

Now they are saying about 15 vehicles went into Arkansas river in Eastern Oklahoma when the I-40 bridge collapsed. Only 5 people who went into the river survived. All of them were picked up by Bass Boats involved in a tournament over there. Amazing how fun and games can turn into life and death at any moment in any situation. I was headed that way and would have been on the bridge in about another hour. I had been a little depressed that I am not going to able to get my boat on the water at all this weekend, that just does not seem important anymore!

Do they know what was the cause of the collision yet? Was the capt asleep, drunk. Was it a malfunction. To me, there is absolutely no excuse for such an accident. Those folks were simply out enjoying a holiday weekend. I only hope no vehicles had children in them. Prayers for all those lost and those that survived!
