HOW DO YOU ADJUST THE OIL INJECTION ON A 60 HP JOHNSON IT SMOKES ALOT ALL THE TIME

AND WHEN IDLING IT LOADS UP WITH OIL AND BOGS THE ENGINE UNTIL YOU CAN GET IT

GOING FAST AND THEN IT CLEARS OUT. IT USES OVER A GALLON OF OIL PER 20 GALLONS OF GAS.

Wait a minute, Johnson's aren't Black are they? Oh well. Your motor is equipped with a "VRO", short for "variable ratio oiling." It is metered via crankcase pulses much like the siamesed fuel pump. There is no adjustment. Replacement is usually the only option, and the part numbers have been superceded numerous times. If you want a quick fix....block off the oil lines and pre-mix at a 50:1 ratio. These units were not that dependable. Right now you are obviously WAY rich at 20:1. Can you say "smoke screen"??
