SWEET!! That's like the MI.BASS FED Tournament Mini and I fished a couple years ago up on Burt/Mullet (an inland lake in MI.). The 1st place team had 5 smallies and 26+lbs....the next 22-23 teams ALL had OVER 20lb bags!! Mini and I had 5 smallies for 19.86 and we finished 23-24th......we were the first team with a limit UNDER 20lbs and we were way down the list!! Smallies RULE!!!

Aaaaahh this is my backyard - makes me want to go home for a fishing round. I've been living in Europe for the past couple of years and just got relocated to NY. Sold the boat and 4x4 and I haven't fished in two years.

It also a very good walleye and musky lake.

Cheers

Marc

Welcome home Marc!! There's no better place in the country to fish than the NORTH!! From Minnesota to Maine and everyplace in between......you name it and we've got'em....BIG ones too!! :)

Just fished a tourney Saturday and won it with 25.77 (5 fish) and a 6.80 kicker...all smallies :)

By the way Mac, we came in 32nd in that fed tourney. 31 bags out of 70 were over 20 pounds.

We've been beating those smallies to death the past month. Took a friend out from Maryland last week for a day of fishing above Ogdensburg, NY and our arms were so sore we could hardly hold the poles up. I have a tournament there this weekend and the following weekend. :)

Marc, aren't you originally from Montreal area ? I'll be going back to them waters if you want to get out.

the fun part is most of these fish were caught sight fishing....lots of fun.

6.80 kicker is amazing.....fishing tubes ?

23rd,...32nd,.......so I had the numbers switched........either way we still DIDN'T get a check!!:eek::blink:

Yes Pierre but I live in Manhattan now, just moved in from Paris. There is supposed to be some bass in central park's bassin but I never tried !

When are you going back to Mtl area ? I would really like to take your invitation ...

Cheers

Marc

Yes tubes. We got 8 bites all day and lost one over 5.5 that would have put the bag in excess of 27 pounds.

We are lucky to have such awesome fishing....BUT we can only get to them on certain days AND we have half the year under ice. I would still venture to guess that we can catch twice as many as our southern friends in a year in half the amount of time! And people ask me why I still live in Michigan :) One word.....SMALLMOUTH!

Hell I thought it was Michigan Football. That's the only thing happening in Nebraska where the N stands for Knowledge.

I like the Maize and Blue, but not as much as I like the Bronzebacks!

I hear ya...largies are nice, but smallie rock....never a sure thing, they pull like tractors, and even the net guy needs to be sharp!

Marc L, send me an email at [email protected] and we can set something up. I'm busy for a few weeks, but promise we can get there before the fall....or maybe during...!
