Our Tempest Plus prop has a few blotches of residue towards the outer edges of the blades and hub.
Not bad but annoying to look at.
Tried Stainless cleaner/polish and 409 cleaner without success. So we asked our dealer, not what they
recommended, but rather what they use to clean props. They said "Automotive Carb-cleaner." Use a green/blue kitchen pad.
Then rub, rub, rub. Will try next visit to our boat storage.

Any other ideas? Were open to suggestions, please.

Did you try a magic eraser pad?

Hi friends;
Yes, we tried Magic Eraser pads with both water and with 409 cleaner. Nix.
Will take photo next time were down at the storage by Truman.
What it looks like is a matt grey film you can feel the difference between surfaces.
A little of it came off previously but some remains.
Thanks.

You might try Bartender's Helper cleanser applied to the wet surface of the prop using a sponge. It works great with grungy stainless steel pots, pans, and sinks. What have you got to loose, it may just do the trick here.

You could try a polishing compound that’s a little more aggressive than the type you already have used. Just go lightly with your hand pressure. Just a shot before going out to buy a bottle of polishing compound. If you have an electric stove with a glass surface try that glass polish or stainless steel sink cleaner soft scrub is safe for stainless steel and chrome.
