Last weekend, the warm weather in Michigan lured me out to my garage to play with some of the new fishing gear I picked up over the winter.

I noticed that the rod I purchased (St. Croix Legend Tournament Series) has a rattle in the blank. :( It sounds like a peice of graphite.

Should I be concerned? I've never spent this much cash on a rod before and want it to perform properly.

I have a St. Croix crankin stick. The rod tip guide came loose and fell off. Lost it. I wanted it to match the others so I took it back to the dealer to see if he could match it up. They replaced the whole rod. No kiddin. They said the Guarantee covered it.

Sounds like the graphite arbor under the handle. Get it replaced.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm going to try to see if the place I bought it from can exchange it this weekend. If not, I will send it to St. Croix. They said they would waive the $20 return postage.
