Bob B question XR6 Temp Gauge

Bob, '02 Merc XR6 150 OT579554 I would like to install a temp gauge that will work with the factory temp sensor in the XR6's port side. ( not starboard warning sensor) Is there a certain spec/standard I need to know to match a gauge with this sensor.

Any outboard temp gauge will work. I would prefer you to install a water pressure gauge if not equipped, much more useful. By the time you see the gauge move, the alarm would have gone off.

Thanks, already have a pressure gauge. just looking for double info (pressure and temp) to verify during use.

Good! Keep an eye on the pressure, minimum is 15psi at anything over 4500 rpm.
