Don't need them on my 95' Nitro's trailer but I

installed a pair on my last rig.(17' Sprectrum,(TX style

bass boat.) Towed it 80 to 100 times yearly (mostly

short trips) for 10 years on the origanal set of bearings

w/out any problems. Greased them regularly. Actually ,

present owner is still running them. probably time to

change them ! Pretty lite rig.

i installed a set on my trailer.the best thing i did.i dont trust them rubber plugs, lost 4 before i changed them over, and believe it or not,got water in the hubs also.it takes a little to grease them now, involves taking them off,but in 2 yrs,no water in the hubs.it seems they run cooler to,it might be my imagination though.

I guess there's more to it than I realize but I used bearing buddies ever since they came out and never had a failure. I used them on four different boats and they did the job well. The grease fittings on the Tracker Trail Star seem to work good but that little rubber cap is a bit more awkward to deal with than a bearing buddy bra. For now I'll stick with what came with the boat unless a need to change comes about.
